Vyasa

What is the reason? It is because of divinity.

It is in this context of the negative and the positive being together or recognizing the aspect of the divine as well as the worldly aspects that people like Jayadeva, like Kabir, like Ramadas, like Tulasi, like Valmiki, like Vyasa, so many people like that have their names engraved eternally on our memory because They had also taken the divine aspect while dealing with the worldly aspects Therefore, you must serve the world, simultaneously earn the grace of God.

This is very necessary in the service of the world to do it in the name of God and earn the grace of God.

For youth, this is most essential.

Swami continues speaking about the importance of gaining a name and reputation that stays on.

And Swami goes on to give examples of other great saints and Mahatmas.

Swami spoke about Kabir, Jai Deva, Gauranga, Ramakrishna Paramamsa, Vyasa, Valmiki and so on.

So in all these examples, Swami says that they led their lives primarily with the faith and the belief that God exists.

Note, to the present moment, in spite of all controversies and researches, history and science remain as much as ever in the dark as to the origin of the Jews.

They may be as well the exiled Jandalas of old India, the bricklayers mentioned by Vina Swata, Vedavyasa, and Manu, as the Phoenicians of Herodotus, or the Hyksos of Josephus, or descendants of Pali shepherds, or a mixture of all these.

The Bible names the Tyrians as a kindred people, and claims dominion over them.

Yet whatever they may have been, they became a hybrid people.

Much of what you find there is written in the Basya, Basya means language, of Samadhi, trance, in which subjects were revealed from a non-material source So the Bhagavatam is a revealed scripture revealed in the mature realization that is how the first canto describes it by the meditation, by the trance.

Vyasadeva and the others have seen it in Samadhi, in trance.

Deep realizations.

And the Bhagavatam, therefore, is not a book.

And this is a heartfelt poem that Srila Prabhupada, our Srila Prabhupada offered to his guru on a Vyasa Puja day.

And the poem had been lost.

I hate to alarm everybody, but there were no computers back then.

That although you always remain a murka, a fool, in front of your spiritual master, always submissive, still you should become teacher next to pass it on to others.

He said that is the responsibility of being in the Sri Guru Parampara.

And so, on Sri Vyasa Puja Day, we're worshipping Srila Vyasadeva with the concept that the parampara is for the dissemination of knowledge for the welfare of all.

The highest truth is reality distinguished from illusion for the welfare of all.

Well, that's also Vyasa as well, right? We have nine, like with Jyotisha, that's post-Vedic astrology as well as Tantric astrology.

There are nine, well, there are nine luminaries in the sky, not just seven.

So this is something I've come into conflict with many times with Western magicians.
