And then the chapter ends by saying that this same teaching was presented by Brahma, then to his son Narada, and then to his student Vyasadeva.

And Vyasa is of course the one who writes the Bhagavatam as we have it, and then teaches it to Shukadeva Goswami, who is the primary speaker of the Bhagavatam.

So it begins with creation and ends with the gifting of Bhagavatam and its lineage.

That's kind of the frame of the chapter.

And of course, everything I said there requires more discussion because the chapter is unique and wonderful in many ways and regarded by those traditions who study the Bhagavatam and who regard it as scripture, not just the Gaudiyas, but also the Pushti Margi tradition, for example, all regard this chapter as crucial, both because it describes the genesis of creation, but also because it describes the genesis of the Bhagavata itself.

And therefore, it's the Bhagavatam's own beginnings, not from a narrative sense.

This is the origin of the Bhagavatam from a cosmic sense, not its arrival into our world, but its arrival into the universe as a whole.

That is the rule.

But that is not applicable when God enters.

By regular attendance in classes in the Bhagavatam, and by rendering service to the pure devotees, all that is troublesome in the heart will become eradicated, and loving service to the Supreme Lord, who is praised with transcendental songs, will be established as an irrevocable fact.
