Murasaki let out a heavy sigh.

Catching those Vulpix is impossible.

They break out of every Pokeball I throw.

A look from Beck told Murasaki she was about to try and say something through her laughter, and so he quickly cut in, predicting her comment.

I know you're supposed to battle Pokemon and weaken them first, but they won't let me! They keep roaring at Stunner, and in the moment my Pokemon flinches, the Vulpix runs away.

Murasaki flopped down next to the tree so that he was facing the tall grass he had just been trying to catch Vulpix in.

And it doesn't matter, since the one time a Vulpix actually stuck around long enough to battle, it beat Stunner up pretty good.

The boy continued to stare out at the grass while Beck's laughter started to die down into little bursts of chuckling.

Like, we got pre, you know, baby, uh, baby Zap, uh, [laughs] not Zapdos, baby Zubat, baby Vulpix, right? Baby Meowth, baby Goldeen, um, baby Ponyta.

A- again, I'm not gonna say we need these, but it, it is interesting, um, to think about how many scrapped baby forms, uh, yeah.
