Vuforia Augmented Reality SDK

Mike was just named the Emerging Executive of the Year by the Mass TLC.

Victor Gerdes, next to him, is the VP of product management for PTC's Vuforia Studio Enterprise, which is the local software company's solution for building and publishing AR experiences in the enterprise.

Mr. Gerdes has been with PTC for over 20 years, holding multiple leadership positions at PTC.

And then lastly, we have John Warner, who's well known in the local tech scene.

In the earlier session, people said when the big companies get in and start spending millions and billions, then you know things are happening.

So we spent $700 million over the last year acquiring IoT company ThingWorx and connectivity company Exida.

And then most recently, we purchased Vuforia.

And Vuforia is the leading edge of augmented reality.

Mm-hmm.

Uh, would complement AVEVA software for industrial engineering and operations, and, um, PTC's, uh, Vuforia technology could also strengthen AVEVA's, uh, visualization and frontline workers, um, offerings.

So from a, a very top-line software perspective, David, is it fair to say AVEVA acquisition also brought Wonderware, so HMI software? We had the data platform, which in Wonderware and AVEVA was always completely vendor agnostic and open.

Mm-hmm.

Its product lifecycle software is called Wintil.

And it also owns Onshape, a Cloudbeast design tool, plus Vuforia for augmented reality and arena.

The company says it has more than 30,000 customers.

So it's the pencil in the filing cabinet for engineers, but digital.
