So I guess jumping into VotingWorks.

It's the only open source tabulation software right now that exists.

And I think incorporates in some of that cryptography question of auditing it after the fact and things like that.

So can you talk a little bit about what went into the development of VotingWorks and what, I mean, you've said what you're trying to accomplish, but why is it specifically that this is accomplishing your goal?

Yeah, it's a great question.

real there's been this whole thread of just like feeble attempts to prove these chops like he's gonna buy a bunch of samsung galaxy s2s and somehow plant them all over the old joanne's fabrics building and then that's gonna be able to film everybody and then there was the usb drives to have it like this thread of obvious ineptitude, like at some point from the from, you know, the inside the house needed to come the cries for help.

because the whole situation isn't fixing any of the problems that the people who are continuing to say that there's problems where there's not really any problems.

Unfortunately, the Los Angeles system, the 300 million went south, and what they unveiled was not an open source voting system to the shock and dismay of the open source community, because we had worked long and hard to make sure that that Los Angeles system was developed.

So when both those systems efforts went south, luckily at the same time, in parallel, there was a group called Voting Works with Ben Adida, who I mentioned as a world-class security expert, with his work with Voting Works, and they managed to deploy the first open source voting system into Choctaw County, Mississippi.

I had been working in New Hampshire simultaneously, and soon thereafter, the state of New Hampshire allowed the open source voting systems to be deployed.
