It's by Light Optical Works.
Dan NewberryHOST
19:27
Now, Light Optical makes a lot-- They make a lot of stuff for Vortex.
Dan NewberryHOST
19:31
They make Nightforce benchrest scopes.
Dan NewberryHOST
19:33
They used to make all the Nightforce scopes.

7 MINS LATER

Dan NewberryHOST
26:09
It's kicking in.
Dan NewberryHOST
26:11
So, um, what the hell was I talking about? Well, to sum it up, you can get different quality grades from Chinese stuff.
Dan NewberryHOST
26:24
And, um, you know, your Discovery optic is obviously making mini vortex scopes because they have, they have cut and pasted paragraphs from Vortex's website about the scopes that they made for Vortex, and they forgot to take the Vortex name out.
Dan NewberryHOST
26:45
I don't know if they fixed that yet, but they knew they could stand behind it because they knew they were the ones who made it.
Jacob MyersHOST
62:49
Little eight, eight by, uh, 32?
Andrew MaxwellHOST
62:52
They're Vortex Diamondbacks, but they're the little ones
Jacob MyersHOST
62:54
Yeah, eight by 32s or eight by 28s.
Jacob MyersHOST
62:56
I can't remember.
Brandon FrankHOST
33:42
Now you're seeing other companies get into the game more.
Brandon FrankHOST
33:47
Vortex makes a scope now.
Brandon FrankHOST
33:48
Did you see that? No, I haven't seen Vortex.
Brandon FrankHOST
33:50
They at least make a handheld scanner.
Brandon FrankHOST
33:53
I mean, so Vortex is starting to get into it.
Brandon FrankHOST
33:57
I mean, SIG's made a scope for a couple years now.
Brandon FrankHOST
33:59
They've got a tube-style scope that I think has like a 10-year warranty.
Devin ColeHOST
13:31
kind of the same as last year.
Devin ColeHOST
13:32
Yep, same Vortex range finder, same bino harness, same Vortex Viper binoculars.
Devin ColeHOST
13:40
Yeah, same, same.
Nate HicksHOST
13:41
What about your filming setup? Because we're going to be doing some different stuff.
Mark BoardmanHOST

Mr.
James WilliamsonGUEST
3:43
They're now the rule.
James WilliamsonGUEST
3:44
Um, that it's, it's a rare sight when we go to a training class where we see somebody who doesn't have an optic on their pistol.
James WilliamsonGUEST
3:51
Um, it's, it's taken a long time to get the technology to, to meet the reliability that we needed, and we'll talk definitely about why we selected the Vortex Optics here to match on there.
James WilliamsonGUEST
4:03
Um, but now, uh, there's no question that you are gonna be a far more capable shooter with an optic on your pistol than you would without.
James WilliamsonGUEST
4:12
You know, I grew up in the days of iron sights, and I pride myself in, in the, you know, amount of time and effort I took to learning how to shoot well with that.
Alan BennettHOST
104:47
Well, look at the
DJHOST
104:48
Vortex with their
Alan BennettHOST
104:50
system for the military.
Alan BennettHOST
104:51
Right, right.
Alan BennettHOST
106:23
just
Jason McBrideHOST
106:24
you.
Jason McBrideHOST
106:24
No, no. It's going to be Vortex.
Jason McBrideHOST
106:26
It's going to be – And
Anthony HellerHOST
116:06
If people want to find you, what's the best place to do
Eric BarberGUEST
116:09
that? So I work over at Vortex.
Eric BarberGUEST
116:13
We put a lot of our stuff out on the Vortex Nation podcast.
Eric BarberGUEST
116:17
Mark Boardman hosts that and does a really good job.
Eric BarberGUEST
116:20
Every now and then we share these hunting stories over there too.
Tom HogeGUEST
23:55
tcl guy um take out a crew a guy trying to rob them at a gas station like four in the morning so it's pretty wild but no um we do not get a whole lot of long range unfortunately for where i'm at the longest range you can typically find is 100 maybe 200 max so it's not very um hunter-savvy or hunter-friendly.
Tom HogeGUEST
24:16
But fortunately for me and the position I'm in and the connections I've made through First Form and friends and kind of the whole ecosphere of fitness and hunting and all that, I have a good friend at Vortex Optics who got me set up with a range day.
Tom HogeGUEST
24:32
They have a range all the way up at 1,000 yards.
Tom HogeGUEST
24:34
So we brought my .308 up there that I originally bought for whitetail hunting in the UP of Michigan.
Tom HogeGUEST
25:41
They wouldn't accept it at the one, sent it to a Bass Pro Shop.
Tom HogeGUEST
25:44
That one Bass Pro Shop is like one in the entire country that doesn't do it either.
Tom HogeGUEST
25:48
So I actually took last Monday and drove up to Wisconsin again to Vortex headquarters.
Tom HogeGUEST
25:53
to use their ffl to transfer it over and then we went back to the range for a second range day and just made sure everything was set up and he gave me kind of a whole spiel on emrad because i was moa based and now we're good to go so we basically said we're kind of good up to 800 yards i won't shoot at 800 yards just because too many variables um but just from his expertise and his guidance he goes you could probably shoot out to five and you'd be completely comfortable so Then it's still pretty far, I think, for outdoor, but we'll see.
Jordan GoodGUEST
11:25
That is what he says.
Jordan GoodGUEST
11:26
And I don't know if he's wrong, but he is now shooting Vortex optics, and we know how awesome they are.
TomHOST
11:33
I love my Vortex.
TomHOST
11:34
Shout out Bobby Martin.
TomHOST
11:36
All right, well, moving on to some shooting we can actually talk about.
Cable SmithHOST
16:30
But anyway, so I went over to his house, and we set it all up and set up the 7PRC because it's super sweet.
Cable SmithHOST
16:35
With the new Vortex Talons, you can Bluetooth the binos to the app, so you have all your profiles on there.
Cable SmithHOST
16:44
And, dude, I was ranging a goat at 3,800 yards and getting a clear reading from those new binos.
Cable SmithHOST
16:52
Shout out to Vortex.
Cable SmithHOST
16:53
It was pretty sick.
Cable SmithHOST
16:54
Yeah.
