Void Rivals

This is one of the most fascinating market strategies we have seen in the last decade, and it leads us directly into our next section.

We are looking at a sci-fi space opera called Void Rivals.

Right.

Written by Robert Kirkman, the creator of The Walking Dead, and illustrated by Lorenzo De Felici.

Okay, let's look at the premise of Void Rivals.

The story follows two characters, Derek and Selila.

They are soldiers from opposing sides of a massive, centuries-long extraterrestrial war.

As the story unfolds and Derek and Selila are trying to survive this hostile planet, their dangerous journey gradually reveals secrets about the origins of their respective worlds.

like the the the shape of her it's like the look of of snake's face there's i don't know there's there's something and like the color i mean it's you know well colored it's there's a couple months like the tone didn't feel right but what do i know basically snake is like helping people you know because like chicago is like a the city is like sealed off so he i think he he helps people get into chicago but he's like i don't go in chicago i'm not stepping foot in there and so you know like you pay him he'll he'll help you he'll take you through the routes tunnels or whatever and then it turns out there's someone inside that is being sought after and it gets to the point obviously they're like okay I can't keep moving around they're getting closer they're you know harming people they're looking so this person is going to want Snake's help to get out but Snake doesn't want to go in and it goes from there so I'm intrigued I'm curious to see where this is going to go because know i don't know if we i don't know if we've ever had an escape from new york comic but you know we we had two movies so what what else is snake doing let's find out uh at i don't think i read anything else from mad cave um i'm behind on some stuff because i know there's yeah it's a gotcha man i think i haven't read or At Image, okay, so what do we have? There's some stuff I didn't read.

I mean, Void Rivals, I haven't read that forever.

It's up to issue 34.

I have no idea what's going on there.

So will there be a third one if they make more silent missions, Couch Boy? And I would love it if they did because, again, I think they could go back to the Joe team and they could give us a bunch more awesome missions for sure.

Now, as well as those, we had Energon Universe Void Rivals issue, which introduces the character of Predacron.

You would know him as a Joe fan as Predacon from the Lunatics wave of figures back in the late 90s, mid 90s, technically.

So that is basically the introduction of this particular character.

And he is on the trail of Rom.

And Rom, of course, currently, if you're paying attention to Void Rivals, is with Pythona.

the Cobra Royal Guard and Salila and Darak on this random planet they crash landed on their Leviathan has passed away and they are stranded and then Rom shows up with Carpet his sidekick and they basically kind of get together team up and um try and find a way off planet now in this particular issue um we've got big moments here we can talk we can show them because they posted these earlier um proximus and scuxoid meet so at the start of the issue you have scuxoid basically looking for his ship And he goes to Junkion, the Junkion planet, and speaks to Rekgar.

And Rekgar says, oh, you know, too late, mate.

Hey, Jason.

Um, I guess tonight we're gonna be talking about Void Rivals, volume five.

Yeah, 'cause, you know, we are committed to talking about, like, you know, like, the m- the major titles of the Ener- Energon universe.

It's like, and hey, it's like, you know, this is certainly a big one because, hey, you know, it's like it's called Quintesson War.

then I clicked on this issue to get a little closer look.

I think it's Void Rivals number 34, which has ROM.

versus the Predacon.

I don't know the Predacon, but ROM.

Anyway, it's a great pick.

I'm sure it's going to be an amazing series.

Void Rivals is not my pick this week, but good pick nonetheless.

And they've been just on, like, a really ni- like, nice and narrow path.

It started with Void Rivals, which I think is, like, on issue 35? N- no, excuse me, 33.

Um, and then it kinda branched off into Transformers, G.I. Joe, everybody...

Like, certain characters had, like, a six-issue miniseries.

Um, Starscream is no longer loyal to Megatron, and he's, like, trying to essentially usurp him.

It's, it's a lot of stuff like that.

The G.I. Joe stuff is fun because they're intertwining, like, some of the Cobra, like, Cobra, Cobra, a lot of people in space in Void Rivals, as well as Cobra Commander is still, like, leading the charge on Earth, trying to, like, also usurp Cobra law, 'cause he was, like, thrown out.

And so it's, like, a whole bunch of, like, different, like, wars going on, and all, like, the, and everybody's just intertwined.
