A vocation is a strong feeling of suitability for a specific career or occupation often regarded as a person's life's work or calling.

Unlike an ordinary job, which refers broadly to any tasks performed in exchange for money, a vocation implies personal alignment, extensive training, and a sense of practical service to a community.
