Everything in Philly is going almost exactly as I expected, except that Vijay Edgecombe is averaging eight rebounds a game.

I did not have him anywhere near that number.

But you've got to think about usage rate and project.

His free throw is at 81%.

on high volume, if that goes up by two or 3%, I think Embiid actually probably gets into the top 18 within the month.

Edgecombe's usage rate is 16, so he should be likely headed in the downward direction unless he can keep the eight rebounds and two and a half defensive stats cooking.

And then it's sort of like egg on my face.

I mean, the Sixers are already doing the low managing stuff and Embiid didn't play last night.

Edgecombe didn't play last night either.

Also, understanding the system, the offensive scheme, and the defensive style this team wants to run, they already have chemistry that a lot of squads who were just put together don't have established as of yet.

So losing to the Pistons on the second half of a back-to-back, when you don't have Joel, when you don't have B.J. Edgecombe, it's not something that you need to worry about and be concerned with.

Nights like that are going to happen.
