Vivian Tafuto

So your top five in this race were Joanna Wettrick, sweeping the majors last year and starting off hot this year, taking the first place with 56.10. Lauren Weeks in second with a 56.24, 14 seconds back of Joanna.

Her doubles teammate, Vivian Tafuto, securing her space in Hong Kong with a 57.55. Lena Putters with a 58.50 in fourth, and Donnell Lowe, who I famously whiffed in the draft.

I sat there.

I was going back and forth.

And look, I just got to say something.

And one of our loyal followers agrees with me.

Every time we talk about Vivian Tafuto on this show, the freaking trolls show up in the YouTube comments saying, overrated, she's lost it.

People need to put some damn respect on Vivian Tafuto's name.

For me, the fifth place is a toss-up between a few.

I have Gabrielle Nicora Baker, Vivian Tafuto, Calypso all in there.

I just think Calypso is a phenomenal athlete and she's kept up with Joanna the last time they ran doubles.

How much exactly she did at the stations and how they split that, I don't know.

I've got her in fourth just off the podium.

And so like you, I've got Saskia in fourth and Calypso in fifth.

And then I had Vivian, Lauren Weeks' doubles partner in sixth.

I think we're having a similar conversation about the men.

Michelle.

Give me Vivian Tafuto, please.

Boo!

She's had an awesome start to the season so far.

Michelle.

I'm feeling good about my team.

I've got Alyssa McElhaney, Tim Venish, Vivian Tafuto, Lena Putters, Luke Greer, Sebastian Iverson, and Dana Lowe.

It is kind of crazy that Luke is that low in your team.

Well, you fell short in one aspect, in the solo aspect.

Let, let's talk about doubles for a second, because during the season, due to an injury to, to Lauren Gee, you, you had to dissolve that partnership and you formed a new one with Vivian Tafuto.

So I have to ask, how much fun is it to run with Vivian?

So, [laughs] um, I don't think it's a secret.

Maddie did definitely take it out.

And then there was a very tight race with Rachel Wade and Viv, Vivian Tafuto.

Um, um for the second third place position so that was kind of the top three that had really separated themselves from the rest of the field and then um we had we had tara jackson there as well that was tara

and lindsey were having a great battle for a while

So Alyssa was fantastic to meet you.

Hopefully one day we'll have a chat.

I also, and I'm not going to go into details on this, but my God, I had, this I'm going to say probably 40 minute to hour long conversation with Vivian after the races just out in the main hallway and two things happened one I can't tell you, I'm going to say probably at least half a dozen people came up to Viv to take pictures, like, oh, you're Vivian Tafuto, and to take pictures.

And she was, again, talking about ambassadors, so nice, so polite, talking to them, just getting to know them, and people were just soaking it up.
