And listen, September 19th is going to be the fifth annual Vitiligo Awareness Walk presented by the beautifully embellished Vitiligo support community.

That's going to take place at Al Lopez Park.

It's to raise awareness and understanding of Vitiligo.

Some of you may only know it because of Michael Jackson, right? He was diagnosed with that.

And he was able to treat it.

Oh, tell me about it.

Vitiligo in uniform is so often mistakenly squeezed by administrators into one incredibly vague question.

They just ask, "Is it military related?"

Which sounds simple enough.

And to understand why that's so hard, we need to briefly touch on the biology.

Sure.

Vitiligo is an autoimmune condition, right?

Yeah.

But yeah, I don't know who this best friend is that wouldn't be your sister, but that's all right.

The fifth annual Vitiligo Awareness Walk is taking place on the 19th.

That's coming up at Al Lopez Park.

That walk is going to start at 8.30 a.m.

If you have children 11 and under, it's free.

You do have to register.

It is to raise awareness about Vitiligo.

We are analyzing a whole stack of sources today for you, including trial announcements directly from clinicaltrials.gov, some really detailed FAQs from the Vitiligo Research Foundation and the actual patient and caregiver guides for the new true VIP studies.

Those guides are super insightful, by the way.

They really are.

It has survived the gauntlet for teens and adults.

But to understand why it's being tested for younger kids, we kind of need to look at the underlying mechanism.

Vitiligo is an autoimmune disorder, but it's not just a generally overactive immune system, right?
