Visual search

Do you know what's interesting about this? Just thinking through my own analysis of this here.

Do you know this concept from visual search called inhibition of return?

No.

The idea is if you're searching for something in a picture, you're probably scanning it and making eye movements to different parts of the image to try and find the thing you're looking for.

Yeah.

I think it's, I don't know if folks have considered this.

Probably somebody has, but this is maybe a neat idea too, that when we're looking at a position in a way, it is a visual search of a kind.

And that may mean once we consider a part of the board, we may be a little hesitant to return to it because of processes like this.
