What happened September 15th? Well, I'll jump off right now.

A photo call is held to introduce Mark Strickson as the new companion Turlough.

Uh, in the, in the famous photo shoot where he basically cradles Sarah Sutton as Nyssa and holds books.

I'm thinking, yep, looks like we got a sexy new relationship with the TARDIS.

And I think the more that we realize this, the more we're aware, the more woke we are up to these things, the, the further we go.

You know, if you take that reading of it's men, yeah, then when you get Rack, this great, powerful [laughs] woman, all woman as well, and she's got Turlough, the boy companion, at her knees.

Yep.

Yep.

Paul Mars, Alice in Wonderland, the Fifth Doctor, Tegan, Nyssa, and Turlough.

Oh, boy, we're into some fun I think.

I can't wait.

Which is the best idea for a companion? Oh.

I, I think, I think Turlough is the best idea.

It's a good idea.

Well-

You get a couple of guest characters in.

You give it more of a storyline.

Actually, Kamelion doing the Turlough storyline.

That is, would be a good idea.

Well, we have had a Colin with the Turlough set.

Oh, the second, the first Turlough set I liked.

Oh, and I loved the first one.

Do you remember when it was in the TARDIS? The twist.

Two new, uh, Big Finishes came out over this past week, which we've already dissected the cover art for.

But, uh, um, Doctor Who, The Sixth Adventures, Sixth Doctor Adventures Reunion with, uh, with, uh, the Sixth Doctor, Peri, and Turlough.

Uh, also an announcement for Australian fans, our friends at The Sirens of Audio have announced that Mark Strickson is coming out to an event with them in 2027.

Hopefully, he's not coming to steal back Turlough's Head of Rassilon from my desk.

Uh, but look, I've seen Mark th- three times now, including one time in a play with a Australian footballer, Peter Dakos, which was, uh, something-

And, and Tegan does nothing in her last story.

Turlough does nothing but just wander around.

Um-

Yeah

So this was one of the formative Davison stories for me.

And it's a big part of why I like Turlough so much as a companion and why Tegan is one of my favorite companions.

She was so relatable in this story and her reason for leaving made so much sense.

I also like that she made the choice to go rather than being left behind or dropped off randomly.

And that certainly doesn't make it the worst story of all time, but it does knock it down a little for me.

All right, next up, and we don't do a worst for this because it would be mean.

We have the best lead actor and our nominations this season are Peter Davison as the Doctor, Colin Baker as the Doctor, Janet Fielding as Tegan, Mark Strickson as Turlough, and Nicola Bryant as Perry.
