Virginia Railway Express

A low C, by the way, but nevertheless, under a traditional academic scale, it scored a C.

And part of it is that because Metro is so comprehensive, part of it is because Union Station exists and Union Station is because of its link to Metro, Amtrak, the Virginia Railway Express, which is the commuter train to the Virginia suburbs, MARC, which is the train to the Maryland suburbs, and Baltimore City, and actually West Virginia somehow, because of the way West Virginia and Maryland's borders are shaped, and their proximity to the DC metro area, and their determination that there is a commuting radius.

People want to commute to work by train, and there's enough of them to justify running a train to that area.

So with that, y'all, that's what's making DC look much better than other cities.

And I don't remember how I got home.

I took the VRE, the Virginia Railway Express, and one of my dearest friends from there, she took me home.

I have no recollection of that.

And it was just so incredibly surreal being in one of the places that was hit.
