I was driving down Virginia Beach Boulevard with Hayden in the car and feeling scared.

Scared to go out, scared to be anywhere.

There started being daily, um, news reports of bomb threats and evacuations in the mall and buildings all over town, you know, and as time went by it came out that the main, um, person, that terrorist that had trained as a pilot that took over one of the planes and was, you know, the one leading the others, had lived for a time in our city in Virginia Beach, and it all just got so close to home for me.

Last but not least, uh, several highway signs along Military Highway in Norfolk have been covered with graffiti.

The city believes the tagging happened early Saturday near the intersection with Virginia Beach Boulevard.

Officials say the signs are too old to safely clean, so four of them will have to be removed.

Just removing those signs is expected to cost about $20,000.
