in the late '50s and early '60s, and it w- Vincent Bell was a famous, uh, New York session player who worked closely with Dan Electro on a bunch of what are now considered, like, standard in the world of guitars.

You know, he was kind of pioneering, like, the basics or, in this case, the electric 12-string.

He wanted something that could emulate.

He'd roll into a session with, uh, his collection of crazy instruments, uh, from around the world, and one was a bouzouki, like a Greek instrument.

Mm.

And the Belzuki was Vincent Bell's like, "Oh, I sh- I wanna be able to play an electric guitar," that kinda has, has the double coursed string thing like a b- a bouzouki does.

And so then he worked with Dan Electro.

And there was a lot of stuff going on.

There was a guy who was a jingle guy named Vinnie Bell, who was a big jingle guy, but he was also an inventor.

And he invented this box that was the forerunner, this huge box with all kinds of pedals and switches on it where you could change the sound, that was the forerunner of the stuff that now, you know, that you can buy.
