Revolution Wind kept building.

And now it joins South Fork Wind and Vineyard Wind as the third complete large-scale offshore wind farm in the U.S. And what about those offshore wind farms? Well, during winter storm Fern, Vineyard Wind showed up big for New England.

And during the July heat wave here, Offshore wind kept oil-burning peakers pretty quiet.

So here's what matters.

There's the South Fork Wind Facility.

There's Vineyard Wind and Revolution Wind.

And there's the Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind Project off the coast of Virginia, as it's in the name.

And there was a substantial amount of environmental review that went into the permitting documents for these projects, into their construction and operations plan primarily, and their EAs and EISs that they had to do as part of the project.

The Texas Public Policy Foundation, a Koch brothers-funded think tank that represented commercial fishing groups, tried to stop the Vineyard Wind Project.

They told the fishermen, the fishers, the people, that it's going to harm your fishing, so they get on board.

And I know that modern wind turbines don't usually park with locked rotors, right, Yolanda? Yeah.

We saw that a locked rotor during installation was one of the causes of the vineyard wind fiasco, right? Where broken blade pieces washed up on the beach.

So definitely something that's known about.

And it's something that even onshore you have a... you have your system so that it tracks sort of where the wind is coming from.
