Also, I do wanna say that I did get to hang out with my boyfriend, one Vincent Valentine, and I loved his gameplay.

I am a sucker for a goth, especially a goth voiced by one Matt Mercer.

But the thing that this demo did feature, besides the open world and some of the new missions, and a new class system, as well as the new characters, uh, Cid Highwind and Vincent Valentine, who were in the previous game but were not playable in that game.

It's cool.

I wish they'd let him.

But I think that they couldn't.

There will probably be more somehow, some way.

I mean, we even know from them that we're getting two story DLCs, one focusing on Vincent, one focusing on Sephiroth, um, at some point.

I think they even put dates on them, uh, for next year.

But, or, or, or, uh, date windows for them.

I am not, I am not somebody whose entire life is Final Fantasy VII.

More, I- it is more so than a lot of people out there.

But when I see people, like this man, Dre, for example, his avatar is Vincent Valentine.

and yeah so fortnite changed the the concept of everything basically The game will also feature a system called FIT, Function Integrated Tactical Suitwear, in which playable characters can equip special equipment that alters their appearance, giving them new skills and abilities taken from classic Final Fantasy classes such as Warrior or Black Mage.

New playable characters first introduced as supporting cast in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth include Cid Highwind, the spear-wielding pilot of Highwind, and Vincent Valentine, a former Shinra test subject turned ally who fights using firearms in a bestial alternate form.

That's great.

During the whole thing that everything, every, every, everything was happening.

That's even, that's even a, larger open world than before sorry Adam and I think there's a lot of Final Fantasy 7 purists and I do get it I do get it I'm not one of them but if you have such an affinity for a game and you feel like they're just going in a completely different direction but I'm intrigued Scott what your thoughts are on Final Fantasy 7 Revelation now you've got the date in mind are you excited or do you feel like hmm I could do without it

so it's days before my wedding anniversary so take from that what you will it's also days before my wife's birthday so take from that again what you will I thought it looked fucking excellent I think Adam our dear friend Adam is for want of a better phrase talking out his arse I think I hope they throw more stuff on the map for me to collect and go and do I hope Chadley's in it more as well to be honest with you because everyone loves Chadley the what do you call it the gameplay for it just it's mad like the fact that you've got the high wind and you're sailing through the sky it's like whoa here we go and like i love all that i love seeing the weapons i thought that the trailer for gamescom was a total fucking edge fest like they knew this was coming so they just threw together 30 seconds to appease our overlord jeff keely um whereas from this it was very much a case of showing us the characters and what they can do individually but also the the team attacks and stuff like that as well i thought they looked class there's one where Sid like lighting dynamite sticks off a Red 13's tail and it's like fucking launching them at folk and seeing Vincent Valentine in a bit more detail and there's like a three person attack as well between Barrett, Tifa and Cloud that looks excellent too so they've obviously put a lot of thought and a lot of care into it it's mad to see how this fit system has also changed the combat so much from Rebirth that it's crazy like that combat you could have just thrown that in there and it was fine I had a few more moves and I'd have been happy with it but they're doing a lot more to it and it seems a lot more mobile in a strange way like there's bits in it where Sid's like darting around and stuff like that and it's like wow man like get me into it um but yeah the only thing I dislike about it is obviously the fit system comes with different outfits and some of them look stupid like Cloud has one on that looks like like a sneaking suit from Metal Gear Solid and it looks fucking silly and I think Sid had one on in the trailer that was white and it's like mate come on now just keep your outfit on it's iconic enough already like we don't need that level of of customization for every other character you know Tifa fine you know they do what you want but people will mod anything onto her but no it's sick world sick world I hate it I hate it god damn it but no I thought it was a great showing for Final Fantasy I think that it's sort of appeased a lot of what the fans want to see and is it Yamaguchi the guy who is the director for it oh wait a minute I don't want to be racist because I don't want to get that wrong Hamaguchi Naoki Hamaguchi I was so close so close he's been so he's been like doing loads of interviews for it I've been chewing him up at night feeds watching you know Maximilian Dude reacting to some of the trailers and some of the interviews he's given to IGN and some of the sort of talking segments that he's done at Gamescom and it's like he's not shut up about talking about Final Fantasy 7 Revelation and even then we know nothing like all these trailers are doing such a good job at showing us everything else but what we want to see is like some of the story beats but the best thing about the trailer Liam and I'll leave it at this the best bit about the trailer is we got to see one thing that made my heart sing And that is Zach Thayer.

I saw that man's face and I'm fucking elated.

I know he's going to be there regardless, but to see him in all of his glory.

Not only is Edea like a cool badass, uh, you know, intergalactic bounty hunter.

She looks just like Vincent Valentine.

She's got a big red cloak, but then she takes the cloak off and she's got power armor.

And then at the end of the movie, her power armor is gone and she's wearing a white tank top and she looks like Tifa.
