And then you got Husso and Brossois for the goalies.

So when I look at those names, I don't see a situation where Anaheim has to burn through all that potential cap space just retaining its own players.

And that's where things get exciting.

I'm s- I b- believe there's a b- uh, backup goalie battle between him and Ville Husso, but both would require waivers, so one of those guys would be there, and they have NHL experience, so those are possibilities.

There's always a bunch of guys who end up getting put on waivers, especially goaltenders.

They lost Trouba, they lost Gudas, they replaced them with Nick Jensen, but you look at that group they have on the blue line and you kind of raise an eyebrow and go, "Is that good enough to be a playoff team?" And obviously last year, Lukas Dostal took on a very heavy workload.

I wonder about Husso being a good enough backup if Dostal were to slip.

And then you look at the forward group and their big add was AJ Greer at $4.2 million.

AJ Greer has scored more than 10 goals, like, once in a season, and I think it was last year.

But Alex Nedeljkovic doesn't really work out.

At the draft in 2022, you acquire the signing rights to Ville Husso for a third-round pick.

He's signed to a three by $4.75 million deal, and he is not the answer in net.

There's just a lot of, a lot of consternation there with, uh, what you decided to spend in, in net.

One of the biggest things that sells tickets in Detroit is, is Patrick Kane.

And you know, I do also wanna give him credit for some of the later goaltenders.

You know, Cam Talbot was and is a, a league average goaltender, which is an improvement from the likes of Alex Nedeljkovic and Ville Husso.

Um, they also signed Alex Lyon, who was league average.

Make it simple so the fans can see it, 'cause how many times have we seen goalie interference, you, and you feel like you got screwed? Okay, an example.

Ville Husso, and the guy takes his skate out from him, and they score a goal.

And the other angle with Lukas Dostal that you really have to consider and what makes him an even more attractive zero G target, there is no one pushing this man in the crease for time.
