Viking Festival Minnesota

With headlines from around the state, I'm Emily Krumberger.

Coming up, a gathering for aspiring Vikings, but not the football fans.

But first, Minnesota State Colleges and University Trustees face tough choices.

You'd have to be living in a cave not to know that our higher education systems are facing some difficult challenges.

And finally, a call to gather.

In Norse legend, the Jellerhorn, or yelling horn, called the Viking gods to battle.

This weekend, all aspiring Vikings are called to join Viking Fest in Farmington, south of the Twin Cities.

The Dakota County Fairgrounds will raise a Norse horn to history and go old school with axe throwing, combat demonstrations, and traditional crafts.
