Uh, Canadiens will be playing the Senators on Monday the 17th, 20-

This obviously creates huge security concerns, along with cost overruns and internal confusion on the best ways to leverage AI.

Here to talk about this new and growing challenge is Julie Brunius, cybersecurity expert at Videotron.

Julie, thanks for joining us and welcome to Security Breach.

Maybe to kick things off a little bit, you can talk to us a little bit about some of your past experiences and what really led you to have this interest in shadow AI.

When I went to the store, everything went well.

And then they mentioned that there's a possibility that after six months, the parent company of Freedom Mobile, Quebec Core or Videotron is going to cancel the contract.

And I'll have to then either get a new Quebec phone number and not a 250BC number or get a new carrier.

And I was wondering if you'd heard anything about that or if that was just something that I'm not quite sure about.

And, you know, a little bit cheaper, too, because the CRTC in June put in the new rules about fees for switching providers, banning specifically fees that are meant to discourage switching.

And we've seen kind of a mixed response from carriers with that, you know, Quebecor, which owns Videotron and Freedom, they kind of just scrapped their fees right off the bat and complied with the new rule.

But we've seen Bell, Rogers, and Telus implement new fees to kind of work around the rule and keep charging people extra money.

And that's kind of been an ongoing battle between the CRTC and the telecoms.

I can fill out my pre-visit checklists, and if they aren't filled out, then from a systems perspective, I can turn around or reschedule or move to my next assignment.

So this customer-to-utility interaction, and this is, of course, something that translates to telco, it translates to, well, in my case, Videotron, which is the local provider of internet.

I don't want an AM, PM appointment.

I'd like to know when you're on your way so I can plan my days accordingly.

They do have a game against the Senators on September 21st.

That one's gonna be in, uh, Trois-Rivières at the, uh, Colisée Videotron.

You know, that's where the Trois-Rivières Lions play.

And, um, I drove past that, uh, this past weekend when I was, uh, traveling around Quebec, and I saw it, and I was like, "The Colisée Videotron?" I'm like, "Isn't that the name of the building in Quebec City?" But yeah, there's also one in, uh, Trois-Rivières.

Go figure.

And, um-

It's the c- it's the Colisée Videotron in Quebec City?

Oh, I don't know.

Je pense qu'il y a aucun doute que la popularité, ça serait pas un problème là.

Je veux dire, on, on met quand même des chiffres d'assistance intéressants pour les Remparts de Québec au Centre Vidéotron.

Et c'est un club de la LHJMQ.

Si t'amènes un club de la Ligue nationale de hockey, il y a aucun doute que l'aréna va être rempli soir après soir, comme à Montréal.

Ouais, vas-y.

Puis, en passant, je suis en train de faire de la recherche de combien de postes il y a au Centre Vidéotron pour un match de hockey et combien de loges corporatives qu'il y a. Puis répondre, pour répondre, il y a [raclement de gorge] il y a environ mille, euh, il y a environ dix-huit mille, excuse-moi- Il y a environ dix-huit mille deux cent cinquante sièges pour un match de hockey.

C'est très respectable.
