Those sort of suburban grounds that can then transition into, uh, AFLW venues have, have, um, a lot of appeal as well.

Victoria Park is certainly one of those and, um, I know there's a k- there's a Cats-Collingwood game there next weekend.

So the Hawks were on their way to Victoria Park facing up against a winless Collingwood as the Hawks were looking to go to a 2-1 record after a rather impressive victory the week before up against Port Adelaide in Adelaide.

Very safe to say it was a very scrappy affair on what was a great day for footy with excellent conditions.

Collingwood side nagged away all day at the Hawks, not allowing us to be able to get into fifth gear, not allowing us to play the type of footy that we wanted to.

We'll start with the AFLW.

Mick, the Hawks went to Victoria Park, a very gentrified place these days, isn't it, Victoria Park, compared to how it once was? Mick, 8.654 to 3.826 was your final score there for the Hawks.

Again, a bit of a sluggish start, but fitness and what have you kicked in the third quarter, they kicked four goals to one goal.

Pretty much just out the win.

Oh, that was a very scary place.

They went down to Hawthorne.

by 28 points at victoria park on sunday um 38 to 86 so we know it's going to be a long year as they look to rebuild but we can always get behind them as best we can uh this weekend the pies take on carton so it'd be nice to get a win over carton we we don't want to talk about carton much but icon park 305 pm against the blues uh that is on sunday the 6th of september so good luck to the aflw girls we'll definitely be keeping a close eye on them throughout the year and then our vflw girls gents they are in a semi-final they take on the western bulldogs so they finished third they went down to williamstown in the last home and away game of the year the seagulls They finished on top of the ladder, so they've had a great year.

Collingwood, a really solid performance from them, 10-4.

They finished in third spot.

That's after making the grand final last year.

So take on the Dogs.

A disappointing opening round game against the Dees a couple of weeks ago.

It is perfect conditions at Victoria Park this afternoon.

Hoping for a big crowd in as well to get behind both of the teams.

I hate writing match reviews.

It's a look at why I thought this was our best ever win and also delving into a few of our other wins because this week, our game against Collingwood at 3 or 5 p.m. at Victoria Park on Sunday, the 30th of August, is actually our 50th AFLW game.

So to me, that was a perfect opportunity to look back through the lens of nostalgia and And look at some of our best wins.

You know, our first win, that win against Freya where we had two on the bench by quarter time on a four-day turnaround.

Liam Collingwood, 3.05pm Sunday afternoon, Victoria Park, and it'll be absolutely fantastic to make it two on the trot for the team and leave us sitting as we get to the quarterway mark through the season, sitting in a very, very handy position.

Yeah, if we can't beat this Collingwood team, there's serious problems.

But when we really put the foot down, it was quite incredible, and one of the finest wins that this AFLW team has had.
