And I'd love you to tell me the story that you told me maybe three or four years ago about your audition for fame and how you got that.

all right so uh i went on uh on that stage newspaper i went on there and i saw that there was a audition for fame open auditions so i thought i really want to try this out i really want to go and have a go at this because this is what i want to do in my career So I went to London, to the Victoria Palace, which is where they were auditioning.

And I struggled to even cross the road to go and do the audition because it was a thirsty kind of moment for me.

Even though I'd done Me and My Girl, this was a much bigger scale audition because there was like, God, 8,000 people going for the same role, you know? So it was a big, big challenge.

And then I was in Annie, the musical, when I was six.

And after the show finished, I was the last cast before it finished at the Victoria Palace.

Little Foxes came in starring Elizabeth Taylor.

And so I knew the stage door people.

In

London? In the West End, yes, at the Victoria Palace, yes.

Wow.

So, I mean, you were made for stardom.

a younger audience really resonated with it.

When I was at the original West End cast at a reunion concert at the Victoria Palace that I went to, that was one of the best nights in a theatre ever.

It was so amazing.

I was sat in a box and I was watching the audience And so many people were just mouthing every single word.
