Victoria Monét

He did Normani.

He did Victoria Monet.

I put that on my own mama.

He did Cardi B up.

Yeah.

Uh, my R&B tips this week out of R&B Versus this week, I'm going, uh, Victoria Monét's new album Frequency of Love.

It's really dope.

Um, I like the way she flipped some of these late '90s, early 2000s samples.

And I just love that shit.

When something hits like that, or like Victoria Monet, I love listening to her music, because it's so embodied.

Or like Summer Walker, like Jhene, like Kehlani, they have this essence about them.

I love the R&B girl who's down.

It just came out, I think maybe like a week ago.

And it's from Victoria Monet, a recording artist.

And a little fun fact, I had this video from our show, and I think we maybe filmed it with Kelly McGonigal, maybe it was like 2020, maybe 2019.

But a clip from it went viral, like probably hundreds of millions of views, you know, people was taking it and like whatever.

I'm gonna call my mom.

[upbeat music] Hey, girl, what's up? How you doing? Y'all, Victoria Monét is pulling up to the house right now, and I feel like she has been cooking, literally, in the kitchen and in the studio.

She's got a new album, a new tour, and it feels like a whole new chapter in life.

But I wanna know what else she's been cooking.

Y'all better be careful.

[laughs]

Victoria Monét gonna put a spell on the cookies.

I promise.

And I, I, I did this repeatedly last year, and she would always mention-

I'm jealous, I'm jealous at my mans DJ Nails, uh, because, um, we started playing, um, Victoria Monét-

Uh-huh

...

Oh, my God.

And, and she hit him with the thank you DM, and I was like-

Bro, look, y'all, y'all would never see me again if I pulled Victoria Monét.

Like, it's just, like she's so bad that she, she could go out on one date with me and never speak to me again, I'm, I'ma count that like we went together.
