Vetëvendosje

Now, in all this, there are always the two scenarios which have been discussed over the past years.

The first one is the cooperation between LDK and Vetëvendosje.

This nearly happened, but at the last moment, uh, failed because of the internal tensions within LDK.

The second one is the scenario of cooperation between Vetëvendosje and, uh, PDK, which would have been unimaginable before 16th of September because PDK wanted to stay out of any, any cooperation with other political parties, hesitant towards Vetëvendosje, betting on Thaci's return.

However, this might have changed in the past days as PDK is looming on the horizon.

The idea offering full support for any presidential candidate for Vet- Vetëvendosje in exchange of Vetëvendosje support for their initiative to change the law on special court, which was initiated after the, um, verdict.

Now, this brings us to the next issue I wanted to talk, which is the verdict of the special court, which is causing seismic shifts in Kosovo because we are talking about a 25-year sentence for Thaci and Krasniqi, 18 for Veseli, and 13 for Selimi.

This verdict er- erupted protests across Kosovo, firstly directed towards EULEX and gradually shifting away from E- EULEX and targeting the government of Kosovo on the, uh, claim that the government is not doing enough politically, but also financially to support the, uh, process in The Hague.

The numbers of the political parties are there.

The Vetëvendosje already has a majority formation of the government and also through sound and through political negotiations, uh, in goodwill, they could find also solution for the, for the president.

So really all it would take is basically finding the political will to put aside, let's say, personal interests and things like this and just get it done.

done.I mean, uh, choosing a president, electing a president, voting a president requires two-third of the, th- thirds of the votes, uh-
