Vermont Catamounts men's basketball

I remember this stretch.

They lost to Temple by four, Vermont by five, St. Joe's by two, Monmouth by five, Loyola by five, Merrimack by three, and then Temple again by four.

They had 13 losses by single digits last year out of there.

Crazy.

So there's 24 teams in the conference.

first 12 like it's not its first 12 games it's not just first 12 teams so i'm going to talk about east tennessee state here taking on north dakota state could be st thomas out of the summit um i'm going with east tennessee state out of the socon could be firman as well but got those two teams matching up it just feels wrong seeing these two teams in like a first first 12 game i guess but um that's that's where we're at in college basketball and then i got robert morris out of the horizon league taking on central arkansas In another 15 on 15 matchup, moving up to the 16s, got Vermont taking on Queens.

Vermont as a 16 seed, maybe they can be a little better, but rough year last year, Queens is on the up.

Queens is absolutely on the up.

And then Howard out of the MEAC taking on Tennessee State, Nolan Smith's Tennessee State team.

And I want to believe in it again.

But Colgate, kind of like similar to Vermont, we did the American East preview.

So I am confident in that Vermont team, but not as confident in Colgate.

But they still get the second spot for me because they're a well-rounded team.

I think it's a little bounce back for Colgate as well.

I'm not getting cute.

Give me Colgate, the toothpaste.

The toothpaste is back, just like Vermont is back.

I actually took Lehigh, who was projected third, a little analytically behind them.

But America East, Vermont by a mile in this conference by three projected games.

They're preseason 186.

Next best is UMBC at 275th.

They go to what, 24 and 9, they get it done.

Uh, they, they, as you can see, they dominated Vermont in the conference championship.

Vermont's been kind of the staple, although has not now won the league in back-to-back years.

Um, NJIT with a huge year, a huge jump last year.

Um, a- and I think the team that kind of was disappointing just because of how good they were with Martelli Jr. was Bryant kind of in the basement here.

But, uh, a great year, a magical year for UMBC.

We'll see if they can duplicate it.

Vermont, of course, will always be good.
