And the second of these ads that really struck me features a woman from Vermilion who says that her property taxes went up 85%, and she's afraid she'll lose her home if Amy Acton becomes governor, which is an, a stupid argument to make anyway because Amy Acton has proposed several measures aimed at reducing property tax burdens.

But we tracked down her actual property records, and we found that her property valuation went up 85%, not her tax bill.

Her taxes initially increased 63%, but then they were reduced significantly the following year, and that's very important because we know that Ohio's property tax law means m- means that an increase in your home's value doesn't automatically translate into an equivalent increase in your taxes.
