Vermilion Cliffs National Monument

Quite a bit.

I mean, up here we've got Walnut Canyon, Wapotki, Vermilion Cliffs is not too far.

Sunset Crater.

Montezuma Castle.

... you know, that story that brought them out West or that subject that they met that captivated them or a scene, uh, you know.

You talk to, like, you know, I always think about, like, Glen Dean and Jeremy Lipking and Logan Maxwell Geisz, and, and I, I don't know when they all discovered Vermilion Cliffs, but all of them have painted Vermilion Cliffs.

A- and I just like to think that they all had a really unique opportunity there in that location, and it influenced their work.

And again, that's not, like, ground zero for them, but it, it could be.

[laughs] You don't.

I think Glen Dam's a national monument, so there's one, and then the Vermilion Cliffs is a national monument, so there's two.

I got nothing else from there.

Well, is Mount Rushmore a national monument?

There are some areas where you can find them or see them more prominently than others.

The Vermilion Cliffs is, can't remember if it's in Utah or Arizona.

That's one area where you can find them more regularly.

You can go into Pinnacles National Park, Big Sur National Park.

Um, there's some other locations where you can find them more regularly, or have, you know, better luck.

But, um, the Vermilion Cliffs, I believe, is one of the ones that gives you a high, that you have a higher chance.

Not a guaranteed chance, but I'll say a higher chance.

I don't wanna, uh, misinform or, uh, anyone.

I found some wonderful Aztec pieces there last summer.

One large cave I stumbled on

proved to be a veritable treasure trove.

Yes, yes, I've seen those Aztec pieces in the University Museum.

Now, the Vermilion Cliffs still remain largely unexplored.
