It gives, it gives parents the, um, empowerment to help create the goals that are needed for their child, to, to really empower them to be part of the plan in terms of, like, what is being taught in therapy and how is therapy going.

And you're able to...

You teach us how to read, uh, results from assessments that they typically do in therapy, like the VB-MAPP, for example, like I just mentioned, um, or the Vine or anything like that.

You, you're able to read those results and understand what those results mean, and therefore, you can look at the plan that your BCBA is putting in place for your child and kind of assess, "Okay, this is probably appropriate, but maybe this goal isn't appropriate" For whatever reason, and then you can discuss it politely with your BCBA and really be a part of the planning process.
