One is methane, which is a gas, which then drives a turbine, which generates electricity.

And the byproduct of that is a dark residual waste matter that is actually very similar to the black material you can buy from Veolia after they process green waste called Pro-Gro.

So this waste is typically going to be put on the fields by the owners.

It's effectively a soil substitute.

So that sounds like a bit of a win-win situation, especially as the summers are now getting hotter and hotter.

I've worked, started in the water field in September of 94 with the town of Ashburnham, worked my way up through, then moved to Gardner with United Water, private contractor, who now is Veolia.

I worked there in the treatment plants as an operator, and then Winchendon hired United Water under basically an emergency contract.

I moved there as distribution and sewer collections operator, chief operator, and was there until the five year contract had ended about 2013. where John was DPW director at the time and him and I worked together for me to stay with the town and leave Gardner.
