Ventrilo

That's insane

... we were in, we were in Ventrilo with him when his voice cracked.

"Hello."

[laughs]

[laughs] One night, Lily logged off WoW early and went to bed.

I was playing with my family over Ventrilo, this was pre-Discord, when my brother-in-law remarked, "Is someone crying?" Concerning, I took off my headset and I could hear Lily crying in her room.

I quickly said good night to my family and logged off and stepped gingerly into her room, asking what was wrong.

"I have nobody," she said quietly.

When our guild defeated the Lich King in Wrath of the Lich King, It was an incredible moment for us.

We were going bananas on Ventrilo.

That's another thing.

It'll age me, you know.

so he kind of has has teased on uh x about like how he want him he's making a new studio essentially that is a maker space for kids But then I was also – there's this trend of like people doing their favorite games, like the top nine games that shaped them.

And someone had mentioned in my post of like how they got into – um like a lot of people got into modding like minecraft uh or just like like for me i started playing battlefield 2 and i learned about how networks work because my parents my parents didn't know i did this but like i i got into like the router settings so that i could open up specific ports so that i could host a ventrilo server on my parents' internet so that people could connect to that server because I didn't have any money to pay as a 13-year-old to pay for money for a Ventrilo server.

And I thought to myself, and the question is, especially in this realm of what our kids get to grow up with, I thought to myself, can't imagine what I would have like built if I had AI at 13.

And how

No, I literally, it's just a guy named Napster for years.

Like, and we're just like talking on Ventrilo every day.

And like, we're playing, I'm talking.

average 10 hours a day right all the time and so eventually uh they came out with world series of video gaming came uh came out and did uh world of warcraft as an event whenever um the burning crusade this expansion came out uh and we decided to go play and it and he's like yeah i'll just sponsor you guys and or all of us.

I just couldn't commit to the guild and raid leading and additions of raiding.

I also didn't want to spend money on Ventrilo anymore.

I'd also started smoking weed, and I'd prefer to spend my money on that than paying for our raid comms.

Okay.
