That was right after Vegreville happened in 2006.

Like it wasn't even a thing.

And then, you know, and then, uh, I don't know what the nineties brought, but, uh, yeah, the early two thousands was Vegreville and then, and then just really cracked down on sterilization.

And, um, you know, it's, it's, it's just the arc of the world, right? Compliance and documentation is just becoming less optional and, and more like assumed.

I don't know if you know that I grew up in Vegreville, Alberta.

I was a dairy farmer kid, foster child, all that stuff.

And so I'm very connected to the land and nature.

for the privilege of allowing us to screen it.

And then someone, another filmmaker that I think about often is Trevor Ruptash.

Trevor is a filmmaker from Vegreville, Alberta, who did his first feature film called They Who Surround Us.

which really stars an actor who plays a soldier from Ukraine struggling with PTSD, living in Alberta.

They are very, very interesting.
