The other thing you're going to do with this, instead of having a computer system or instead of having these automatic bids that set up certain matchups, what I'm afraid is going to happen is something that we see happen quite often in March Madness, where you're going to get two mid-majors that could actually make a pretty deep run having to face off in the first round.

We see this happen all the time, where it's a Murray State versus a St. Mary's, or it's, you know, back in the day, it would be like a Butler versus a VCU, where you look at two teams and you go, Uh, both of those mid majors could definitely make a run, but for whatever reason, they're facing off in the first round and one of them is going to be knocked out immediately.

So instead of having two potential Cinderella's like we saw back in, I believe it was, uh, 2010, um, we're not going to get that anymore.

So we're going to knock out one of those.

The, the same reason we're gonna see h- a high point in the NCAA tournament, not because they could win it all, but because it's good entertainment, and because we wanna see meaningful games.

It's the same reason you'll see Utah State, same reason you'll see VCU.

College basketball, I think college basketball is an amazing product.

I really do.

Where did Blake Harper go?

VCU, I think.

I mean, 6'9", the skills, the skills are, are very, very interesting.

Uh, he's been a developmental player un- under Ryan Odom, right? Was the only one who followed him from VCU to UVA.

Uh, he, he made, what, four of his six threes the other night.

Uh, he said, you know, Ryan said it, he, he's improved his defense when I asked Ryan about him.

But I did promise you a Will Wade story.

So Will Wade, what did he come from? VCU, right? And he's the LSU head coach, basketball coach, taking over for Johnny Jones, which at the end was a disaster, right? So he comes in there, and he's concerned with – We won't go to the NIL jokes, but he's concerned with, you know, Tennessee, Alabama, Auburn, Kentucky, right? In the SEC, whatever it was back, was that 2016? And so the Cajuns are having this great season.

They're not on his radar.

When Sammy Jackson committed to VCU, I was getting DMs and text messages and all sorts from friends of mine going, Oh my God, this is huge.

This is a superstar in waiting.

And just watching some of his highlights that I saw on YouTube and the first thing that jumps out to me is that he's six foot seven.

He's also a terrific shooter.

but can post up, play inside.

Just a really good piece and a really good pickup for VCU.

Then the next thing that I see when I'm watching these highlights, and then I'm looking at some of the statistics he's put up, Very explosive at the basket.

I had Iowa State on there.

And then I actually had Siegel Center at VCU.

Uh, VCU, folks, at one point was actually, uh, at least poking around on Rich Pitino before he ultimately went to Xavier.

So four of the five venues there, [chuckles] um, had a, had a Rich Pitino, uh, slant to it.
