Vauxhall Cresta

Witnesses also reported a curious sight that still lingers in the shadows of the case.

Not far from where April vanished, a light brown Ford Consul, or possibly a Vauxhall Cresta, was spotted pulled up at the roadside.

Inside, a man lay stretched across the front bench seat, his legs protruding awkwardly from the open door.

The image was troubling, a lone figure in an idling car positioned in a way that would suggest either distress, concealment, or something altogether more sinister.
