Vault: Def Leppard Greatest Hits (1980–1995)

Nowadays, we're used to hearing an amazing live sound that sounds very close to the album and it's huge.

This sounds just so much more like a proper rock band that are just out there playing songs that they like and I think if you want to see them in a different light then yeah go and track all this stuff down because you'll never see this again only those lucky enough to go and see them as Dead Flatbird will you know have experienced this kind of show since then but but also going back to the band hitting stadiums in certain countries, I'm amazed that this tour, even though slang might not have done very well in America, that this tour wasn't bigger, just purely off the back of Vault, which was only less than 12 months before this album.

I thought Vault was, I've got that right, Kirtan, Vault was massive in America, surely it was.

Yeah, but I think Vault in America is, took longer to take off.

I think I touched on this when I did the behind the music episode.

So when behind the music aired in 1998, it sent sales of vault like through the roof.

So yeah, I think vault didn't really start to see its life in the States until 98, 99 and forward.

So I definitely feel like they, they built some bridges and burn them quickly with the vault and slang thing in international markets for sure.
