The, the idea for The Block was to be aspirational, waterfront, you know, Australian beach, which is why we did it in Bondi and Manly and Vaucluse, you know, for the first three series, but this is the first series where we've actually had a water view.

For me, I'd be nostalgic and go the first season of The Block, um, uh, j- just because it was such a unique experience.

And it really comes down to, you know, a $10 million property is going to be, you know, a 600 square meter block of land in Vaucluse or Bellevue Hill with the house on it, either a single or double garage or pool.

It's all pretty stock standard.

When you're looking at an $80 million budget, it's, is it waterfront? Does it have a tennis court? Does it have iconic views? And so there are a lot more factors that are very important that you need to look into and that your clients want to get.

But my point is, but things aren't selling right now.

There's almost nothing for sale.

The difference with Bellevue Hill and Vaucluse that I can see is when I go on my realestate.com and I look over Vaucluse, there are a lot of houses.

In September last year, experienced surfer Mercury Salakis was bitten by a great white shark at Long Reef Beach, and later died.

In January this year, a 12-year-old boy, Nicholas Antic, was fatally bitten by a bull shark at Shark Beach in Vaucluse, inside Sydney Harbour.

And then in June, Coogee local Leah Stewart lost an arm after being bitten by a white shark while swimming between the flags at Coogee.

So from now, if you're going to the beach, chances are you're going to see a drone.

Of course, there have been a spate of fatal shark attacks and shark attacks in general in Australia, and there is one council in Sydney's eastern suburbs that are doing something to try and mitigate the risks.

Now, this is the Vaucluse, at Shark Beach, rather, in Vaucluse.

There is going to be a year-round shark net trial.

And it's something that the Liberal leader, Kelly Sloan, has been pushing for after she gathered more than 600 signatures in a petition.

And it just gave him everything.
