Vassago

He wasn't even really a human.

His name was Rod Ferrell.

He said he was a vampire, a 500-year-old vampire, and he had another name, Vassago, a name classically associated with demons.

At first, this sounds like exactly the kind of thing you'd expect from a teenager in the 1990s who's into the goth culture, role-playing, video games, and vampires.

Except Rod wasn't just dressing like a vampire.

Then on November 25th, 1996, two innocent people were murdered, and suddenly the vampire story wasn't a game anymore.

But there's one detail about Rod's story that makes this considerably stranger.

The name Vassago wasn't a vampire.
