Vash the Stampede

Kenshiro was strong at the start of Fist of the North Star.

Vash is strong at the start of Trigun.

Yes, you've established strength, but like he literally uses one of these Super Magnums to like blow away a giant drill thing clearly full of people, and like that power creep at the start-

That's cool

I can think of one example more recently that I've read, Trigun.

Yeah.

As Vash and Knives use their power, see, they're using up their energy, they're dying as they use it.

Mm-hmm.

What kind of a per-

Yeah.

What, what kind-

What kind of man is-

So it's like we have to guess, like, age, gender, uh, occupation, I think, and where they live.

Wow.

Yeah.

I mean, uh, I kind of did a stream like this recently-

And then you take that exact same philosophical question and drop it into a post-apocalyptic sci-fi Wild West in Trigun.

Vash the Stampede.

Vash has a legendary 60 billion double dollar bounty on his head.

Entire cities are destroyed in his wake.

He's treated by the public like a walking, talking natural disaster.

But the dramatic irony is that underneath this goofy, carefree, donut-loving exterior, Vash is exactly like Kenshin.

He is a staunch absolute pacifist wrestling with a deeply violent world.

The destruction that follows him is usually caused by the greedy bounty hunters trying to kill him, not by Vash himself.

It's a lot of people that...

You know, like Stephanie Shea, like Johnny Young Bosch, who was Vash the Stampede in Trigun, and in so many other things.

Richard Epcar is in here.

You know Richard Epcar, I'm sure.

And then Shippon's voice actresses are Tomoyo Kurosawa, who's Sothis from Fire Emblem 3 Houses, and of course Fire Emblem Fortunes Weave.

She voices the kid Vash the Stampede in the 3DCG Trigun anime, and Kumiko Omai from Sound Euphonium, as well as Liz and the Blue Bird.

christina kelly is she pawns english actress she also voices alice nakiri from food wars coco kaga so the main heroine from golden time loki from is it wrong to try to pick up girls in a dungeon and alice susanomia so the adopted sister of the main character lily susanomia from rock is a lady's modesty there is one more maid and i have not forgotten about her we'll get to her in a because I want to talk about the ruthless leader of the Creature Land group introduced in Episode 4.

This is Nagi.

He looks like...

You, I, I know you just recently started watching anime, but Vash the Stampede from Trigun, he's got like the same jacket, and he looks like a badass.

Yeah.

Huh.

Uh, so this is Trigun Maximum volume three, His Life as a dot, dot, dot.

Uh, and in it, Vash and Wolfwood aboard the Melka Border floating ship take on Leonof the Puppet Master and Grey the Nine Lives respectively, but their fights become more complicated when Leonof hi- hides living civilians among his corpse puppets, preventing Vash from firing at will, and Grey is revealed to be a nigh-unkillable flesh mech piloted by nine people.

Meanwhile, Meryl, Milly, and Jessica make aboard, make it back aboard the ship just in time to finish off Nine Lives.

Likewise, Brad discovers the boxes Leonof keeps his puppets in, including one who's particularly special to him, Isabelle.

Vash comes to recognize Leonof from when he was a child, uh, that Vash once knew, Emilio, and speaks to him to reawaken his repressed humanity.

He also activates the ship's fire suppla- suppression system, weighing down the puppets and destroying Leonof's ability to hold onto them.

Brad messes with the puppets in boxes, drawing Leonof out, at which point Brad severs a chunk of the ship to send Leonof falling to his death.

Vash catches Leonof, but when Leonof sees Isabelle fall, he stabs Vash and falls with her.

Let me tell you.

I'm like, man, he's got like Vash the Scampede's gun or something.

What the

hell? Did you just make a Trigun

This I did not love as much.

Yeah, when I think of Trigun especially and some of the Vash moments of him laughing or getting really hysterical, and it's very sharp lines, but it's clearly like...

So like you said, you could tell someone drew it.

I think of any scene where he's laughing maniacally, like when he's, you know, pretending everything is fine and he's like yelling about something to be, to distract from whatever actually is happening.
