NVIDIA's chipset and DLSS and everything.
Slam ZaniHOST
33:13
They even added VRR to docked mode.
Slam ZaniHOST
33:18
The way the Switch 2 is set up, you don't need a Pro console anytime
BrandonHOST
33:23
soon.
Dane CodyHOST
20:25
This is actually one of the reasons, one of the reasons that I actually bought a standalone Blu-ray player so that I don't use my PlayStation to play Blu-rays.
Dane CodyHOST
20:36
Because the problem that I was running into is that... either, at least for my TV, and this is a uniquely Sony TV problem, but on the input that my PlayStation 5 is on, I can either select... to have VRR in game mode be enabled on that, or I can select Dolby Vision to be allowed on that.
JacobHOST
21:00
I can't have both.
JacobHOST
21:03
So the
Dane CodyHOST
21:03
problem was, what I was running into is that when I was trying to watch Blu-rays on my PlayStation, if I had the VRR in game mode enabled, it wouldn't kick over to non-VRR in game mode, Because even though the PlayStation 5 doesn't support Dolby Vision, anytime I used it to watch content, it wouldn't allow it to switch over to the media settings for that input because it was set up as a game console.
Dane CodyHOST
21:36
Yeah.
Dane CodyHOST
21:37
So essentially now I've only got my PlayStation set up as a game console with those settings set up correctly.
Brad ShoemakerHOST
23:02
... with the Pro, but I've just been trying it down here to see how it is.
Vinny CaravellaHOST
23:04
If, if you have a VRR TV, you should play it on the balanced mode because that's the 40 hertz, and that's, that...
Vinny CaravellaHOST
23:09
It's, like, the same graphics of quality but a slightly higher frame rate, basically.
Vinny CaravellaHOST
23:13
I should...
Krysta YangHOST
42:18
I don't even know what it is
Kit EllisHOST
42:19
... yes, you know, you're an expert on VRR now-
Krysta YangHOST
42:21
I'm an expert
Kit EllisHOST
42:21
... somehow.

Alas.
AntonHOST
35:11
What else jumped out from this week in Turbo Mode?
MikeHOST
35:16
similar ones to you I think the Secrets of the Zonai art book I think the standard edition price isn't actually the worst but the Heroes edition ooh that's a lot of money nearly 100 quid it's still a lot of money nearly 50 quid Welcome Tour I just kind of forget about that and it's kind of fun that we're revisiting Welcome Tour with VRR mode which is you know it's kind of cool why not

Even in handheld play, I could feel it dropping frames.
Oliver MackenziePANELIST
9:38
I'm not sure whether it has VRR working or not, or if this is just an issue with the frame generation technique, but it does seem to be dropping frames a lot.
Oliver MackenziePANELIST
9:46
So I don't know.
Oliver MackenziePANELIST
9:47
I feel like I'm more open to it now that I've tried it because ultimately on Switch 2, you have to make hard compromises, right? And could this game be 60 FPS? I don't really think so.

I mean, if the subject of the video is an issue like this, like I know me and Alex, I think it must have been last year now.
Oliver MackenziePANELIST
31:54
It was quite a while ago.
Oliver MackenziePANELIST
31:55
We did a video on the VRR stutter on PS5 that was fixed, right? Right.
Oliver MackenziePANELIST
31:59
It's the whole video.
AlexHOST
47:22
But because of that, I don't have the option to use the 120 Hertz modes.
AlexHOST
47:26
In doing that, you'd have like an unlocked frame rate and you could use like VRR to... make it smoother as it stands.
AlexHOST
47:33
I put it on the, um, fidelity mode and it seemed like a locked 60 to me.
AlexHOST
47:39
The difference was it wasn't with the, um, with the resolution mode, you're sorry with the, uh, frame rate mode, you're turning off some of the visual flares and then I guess unlocking the frame rate.
Bob WulffHOST
60:21
It's not too bad.
Bob WulffHOST
60:22
And now that you have VRR on the Switch.
Bob WulffHOST
60:24
Yes.
Bob WulffHOST
60:24
Might actually...
Bob WulffHOST
60:25
Oh, I don't know if your TV can handle VRR.
Bob WulffHOST
60:27
Probably not.
Will WulffHOST
60:28
I...
Hawes BurkhardtHOST
57:59
...
Hawes BurkhardtHOST
58:00
Yeah, I'm running Fidelity Pro with VRR turned on to smooth-
Steve KrotheHOST
58:06
Mm-hmm
Hawes BurkhardtHOST
58:06
... and advanced ray tracing, and 120 hert- giga- um, two... 120 hertz mode is what I'm running.
Jeremy PowersHOST
74:11
It's a good mid-ground.
Jeremy PowersHOST
74:12
Because we forgot to mention VRR was added to the Switch 2 recently, so I think we may have mentioned it on Speedrun.
Jeremy PowersHOST
74:17
They also said that for
StephenHOST
74:19
the Months Underwild Switch 2 version, they did shut off ray tracing.
