I guess, um, Euronymous had a vision, but I don't think you really wanted to go that far.

You've got to have Fenris, Euronymous, Necro Butcher, Hellhammer, Varg Vikernes, Ishan, Abath, Shagrath, right? Like you've got to have a name.

You can't just be John or Joe or Phil or, you know, Thomas, Harry, Harry Potter.

I mean, between 1992, I looked this up between 1992 and 1996, there were at least 50 church burnings attacks in Norway.
S
33:36speaker_0HOST
um the first one was the fantoff stave church in bergen varg vikernes was responsible for that one um and then euronymous varg and faust from emperor burned a church in 1992 why well here's what euronymous said he said they the christians must feel that there is a dark evil power present that they have to fight I'm not sure what that means Varg said he burned the churches because of kind of what you said revenge for the Christian desecration of Viking graves and temples okay, dude, but that was like a thousand years ago, and you have really no connection to that at all.

Well, it's kind of like, because I live out in, I won't say in the woods, but it kind of like, it's, there's a kind of like a forest where I live, and we have kind of like this tram route, which goes to the city, from straight out of where I live, so I kind of like take the tram to the city a lot, and then I see the Miros Kateril when when it goes down because it's like the tram is like 230 meters above water ground, I think.

So it kind of like it goes from a little bit up in the hills and down towards the city, which is more like on water level almost and because you know that there's a river which goes by the Nidrus Cathedral and yes I know it's I don't reflect that much over it being on the Mayhem album but it's kind of like it's a cool thing and you know there's a lot of people who have like try to find the right angle to take this you know at the same angle as the mysterious and you see photos of that all the time um and it's uh it's it's uh it's kind of cool uh it's uh and it's also uh a good thing that the uh at Varg Vikernes didn't get to blow it up yeah he had planned

Sigil Stone, "Imagine having a concert in a church and not playing Varg Vikernes.
H

What the F happened to this world? Shake my damn head." If anything, I'd imagine Varg would be more insulted by having his music played in a church than the other way around.

So, but I, I have this like theory that during Christianity, at the time when Europe was getting Christianized, this is deeply controversial.
D
38:23Doc InfernoGUEST
Because when you read any kind of histography of, you know, Christianization of Europe, I don't want to go into Varg Vikernes territory, you know, and just totally shit on Christianity or whatever.
D
38:35Doc InfernoGUEST
I don't want to go into like the whole entire, because that is like a kind of reflexive reactionary type of thing that
