I like where he's like, you know, "A moderate gonus." Like, he's not gonna pay that much, but if they take down N- now, you don't have mentions in this, which I'm shocked of, "Hey, there's a Night- you know, there's Nightwing.

We can get this big reward from Vandal Savage."

You know? So the other thing is that his dad, Lionel, has a chip on his shoulder because he worked for Vandal Savage.

It says he was a brilliant scientist where he worked for Vandal Savage before making a mess of it.

It says whether through a failed experiment or his predilection to drink, Lionel's brain was left unable to comprehend much more than basic arithmetic.

So his dad, who was once this like... really good scientist is now like not anymore and he sees his son who's this boy genius and he doesn't like that he's very abusive towards him

Like, they're trying to take over and just destroy everything.

I do have to ask about one of the big universal things.

We're in the midst of Bad Seeds, Batman Bad Seeds, the big crossover amongst all the Batman books where basically Poison Ivy makes some really bad deals and Vandal Savage does some very bad things and it leads to one very, very, very, very, very bad night for Gotham where we don't know how things are going to look at the end for anyone involved.

I'm very curious about how something like that comes together, because you and Matt Fraction co-wrote the sunset one shot that led things off.

Was that something that built organically from things you were already doing? Was that something that was like, we need a Batman event? Let's let's reverse engineer it.

So, no, like, all of the detention here is really well done, you know, the idea of guarding, like, because the train driver gets taken out with, like, a vine that comes in the window, because all the bad seed stuff's still going on, obviously, and... there's a kind of a panic and we get kind of this multiple things going at the same time where Zaz is making his move trying to get to Zeller but you've also got the fact that once they realise there's people down there especially once they realise there's a bat down there more on that in a second you've got Commissioner Vandal Savage being like just just Just blow the place up.

Or just send the SWAT team in and just blow it.
