Vanadzor

The deputy foreign minister of another EU and NATO country, Poland, told Armin Press also this week that the Polish defense industry can help Armenia upgrade its Soviet-era weapons to NATO standards, while noting that talks are already underway on joint ammunition production.

And this week, the ruling civil contract faction approved a bill consolidating Vanadzor, this is Armenia's third largest city, and Pambak, a village with a population of around 300 people, both are in the Lowry region, as well as the towns of Ararat and Veti in the Ararat region.

Parliamentary opposition factions voted against the bill.

This is part of the community enlargement program and administrative territorial reform that consolidates hundreds of small rural and urban settlements into larger municipal clusters that started in 2015.
