So creative, so incredible.

So I don't know if you've heard of the recording studio, very famous recording studio you'll probably have, Sound City Recording Studios in Van Nuys, right?

Definitely.

And so we lived maybe five, a little over five minutes away from Sound City.

And all my precious friends, if tonight, as we share this, you realize that you cannot say, No, Lord, Say, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? There's no limit to what God's power can do through you.

I heard a testimony given by Dr. Jack Hayford of Van Nuys, California, of a church where they were singing the chorus, He is Lord, and God's Spirit spoke to the pastor, and the pastor said, Stop! We will not sing this again until Jesus is really Lord of our assembly.

And they went through a soul-searching time And Dr. Hayford said, there came a day when the pastors stood up and said, my brothers and sisters, I believe God has been dealing with us so much that we can now sing, He is Lord.

And they stood as a congregation.

I was a first officer on a Gulfstream 2 and 3.

So i worked for a charter company based out of van nuys california and we had we had a base in teterboro as well um which are kind of the the two main hubs on the on the on the west coast and the east coast as far as like flying and uh yeah so i was we were a charter company so we flew a lot of being based in van nuys california los angeles Flew a lot of famous celebrities.

Gosh, I mean, I've flown Snoop Dogg, I've flown Aerosmith, I've flown Sammy Hagar, Bette Midler.

Who else? I don't know.

I'm just glad we didn't have smartphones back then with cameras on them, because like, Who knew? Who knows what would have happened? We had a good time, though.

It was a lot of fun.

We had like one one story that was fun there is that we had so we were the company is based in Van Nuys.

So most of the pilots live in and around California.

We'll talk about that in a bit, but as you head out the door, pretty comfortable temps for you.

71 in Van Nuys, Los Angeles coming in the low 70s, and Malibu coming in 72 degrees.

with that continuous warning horn, which again, I remember that daily, John, every morning at a Van Nuys airport.

And that's where the helicopter that I flew in for about 20 years was based.

We checked that horn and make sure that it was operational.

I used to like to call them, John, the Air Force of the newsroom.

Once something significant broke, whether it was a wildfire or a pursuit, we would be on it first, and then we would wait for the ground troops, the crews on the ground, the news vans to arrive on scene of that event.

So we all would launch under the two airports where the Los Angeles airborne media are based, Van Nuys Airport

and Whiteman.

There's a frequency that they use here in the L.A. area that they all talk to each other, in addition to the air traffic controller.

So, like, if it's in the Van Nuys area, for instance, like Chatsworth was, they'd be talking to the air traffic controller at Van Nuys Airport, but also to each other on a side channel.

Hey, you guys are getting kind of close, or could you move a little over that way, or whatever, you know.
