Does this ramp up other guys in trying to make a commitment to lock their spot in, and especially at quarterback? What does this do with Josiah Boykin? What does this do for Jackson Carpenter? For Coa, for Titus Huard, who is at Valor Christian.

He's kind of got an unofficial top four or five right now, but UCLA is on there.

They're expecting to get a visit from him in October.

Um, you know, and that's, that's gonna be an issue, and it, it took a scoring, you know, drive from freshman ace Payton Guess and a highlight fourth down play to show he's definitely the guy to give Mater Dei its best chance the rest of the way.

You know, we'll get back to that in a little bit, but Mater Dei was really never in jeopardy.

You know, they allowed Valor, you know, a 7-0 lead on its opening drive, you know, where the Monarchs ended up giving up three third down conversions, including, you know, that, that aided a rough, they had a roughing the passer penalty.

But after that, they settled down the rest of the way.

Kincaid has started 0-2, and although I will have to check, is likely the best 0-2 team in the state.

Losses to Colorado No. 2 Valor Christian and TXPS No. 1 Parish Episcopal are nothing to hold against Kincaid, especially as they have not won a season opener since 2021, and they have won four state titles in that time frame.

The backfield combination of Ross Wynn at quarterback and Wayne Shanks at running back is likely the best in the conference and need the experienced Eli Ferber and Louis Brazelton to come up big blocking for them.

You pair that with Drake Olson, Holden Jones, and A.J. Allard in the wide receiving room, and I think they have explosive capabilities to take the pressure off of Wayne Shanks.

I know Aurora Central and Overland played as well as Cherokee Trail and Mountain Range played, but even though it is sunday the 30th uh there's no scores for those games so we're just gonna keep it as is chatfield though does play valor christian and they get a big win here 45-24, I think that's the biggest win Chatfield has ever had over Valor in an absolutely massive game.

Let's start, well, Chatfield doesn't have any stats, which is tough, but let's start with Valor Christian.

The sophomore quarterback did not play bad.

Grayson Stewart, 32-42, 258 yards, four touchdowns, one pick, 55 rushing yards, as actually that looks pretty decent there.

Only one turnover.

the sophomore receiver for them Delaney Coleman 15 receptions 122 yards and two touchdowns the other freshman for them Bailey Jones 10 for 100 in two touchdowns as it really looks like this underclassmen group got to work here Stewart though also had eight flagpoles which led the team which is kind of crazy there And then you had Peras and Harry with a sack each, and then Delaney Coleman with an interception.

Unfortunately, just not enough as Chatfield just put a lot on Valor Christian in this one, apparently 45-24 as Valor gets their first loss of the season, and Chatfield tallies a very important win right here.

No stats for Denver South.

But for Valor, it is the freshman, Bryson Stewart, who hops into this game in her debut, 24 of 30, 249 yards, three touchdowns, and one pick.

Uh, but Douglas County doing their thing.

And so we go ahead and reward them as they move up to number seven.

Now, at number six is currently Valor Christian.
