So how is it then that most of the traditions that today regard the Srimad Bhagavatam as the preeminent canonical scripture, such as the Gaudiyas, the Vallabhas, and so on, they're all more or less skeptical against renunciation?

I mean, the Vallabhis are.

What are we talking about here? I'd like to start with a great teacher of bhakti, of devotion of India, named Vallabha.

He was known as Vallabhacharya.

The ach-- a teacher known as Vallabha.

Vallabha means the beloved one.

But Madhavacharya, Ramanuja Sampradaya, they remained more to South India.

Then North India we had Nimbarka Sampradaya, then Vallabha came, so Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.

So then preaching happened, Chaitanya Mahaprabhu also travelled and he also asked at least some of his associates to preach, especially Nithyananda Prabhu.

Haridas Thakur, he also said, yare dekho tare kaho krishna updesh.
