Valiant Lady

if it can sometimes be rather extreme.

Like a recent Virgin Voyage's Valiant Lady sailing out of New York, it was due to go to Bermuda, but it ended up sailing north to Canada instead to avoid bad weather.

Cruises expected to have a sunny and warm cruise ended up in a rather chilly Canada.

The only recent examples I've seen of weather cancelling cruises and people being kicked off is first Antarctica cruises, especially the Fly Bridge cruises.

My favorite time of year, definitely.

Staff writer Richard Simms recently returned from an eight-night Canada/New England cruise on Virgin Voyages Valiant Lady from Manhattan.

Here he is to talk about it.

Wow, okay.

And last year you sailed Brilliant Lady.

This year, Valiant Lady, obviously.

Yep.

I actually was a little worried it [laughs] might be extended by even more.

We were on the, um, the Virgin Voyages Valiant Lady, and we were coming back from, uh, Canada, and of course, we sailed right into the nor'easter.

So we had a couple of days of rough weather, and that didn't really bother me.

I mean, it was, it was rocky, but it wasn't...
