Valerie and Her Week of Wonders

And for five or six years, they just made the craziest fucking films imaginable.

Valerie and Her Week of Wonders is a great one to start with.

But yeah, I don't know.

I don't know where to go.

This is compared to Suspiria a lot.

And the other film it gets compared to is one we've already seen, which is Valerie and Her Week of Wonders.

Saw that as well? Yeah.

Oh, I love the line that they say.

It was in the 70s, late 70s.

Very psychedelic, too.

And then, of course, Valerie and Her Week of Wonders, which we covered before on the podcast.

And if you haven't listened to that episode, we recommend going to listen to it now.

Today, hazardous chemicals are found at a former military training area in a Czech national park.

And a restored version of the classic Czech movie, Valerie and Her Week of Wonders, is competing at the Venice Film Festival and we'll hear what makes it so special.

But first, here's the news.

News.

Well, this is a huge competition.

There's almost 20 films in this section, Venice Classici, and there are very good films here.

It happened to us some, I think it was six years ago, when we brought our restoration of Ecstasy, this early 1930s classic of Gustav Machati.

And we didn't expect any award, but then I got a message from the festival that they need me back.
