The day before DLP.

As we had a week of holiday in Normandy before going to DLP, I booked us at the Hotel Elysee in Val d'Europe in between to allow us to get rested and early to the park in the morning.

I picked this hotel due to the positive review from Sam Forgot where she had posted a 10% discount code for 2026.

True to her review, the hotel and staff were really nice, so a recommendation from me as well.

One final piece of practical advice for park snacks.

While Disney is great at main meals, outdoor snack carts like popcorn, crepe and churros can be tricky for dairy and not cross-cantamination.

We always recommend bringing a small stash of certified safe pre-packaged snacks from home or picking them up at the Val d'Europe supermarket or the Relais station shop at Marne-la-Vallée train station just outside the gates.

That way, her friend's daughter never feels left out when everyone is having an afternoon treat.
