V. Vale

He is, but I think they've, I think V- Vale and Wicks are in the same bucket for me, is it's their job for now.

Sure.

But I think that Vale, that you will see Vale, like Wicks had, what, three targets in that game? Two catches? I, I get that one of them was for deep.

For so long, I thought he was introduced to me by John Waters through the book Shock Value, and w- a- and one of these discussions, it's very clear that I, uh, did not remember correctly, 'cause when I went to find the chapter in Shock Value, and I could even picture what it looked like.

It's interesting because it's completely from V. Vale's fantastic book, Incredibly Strange Films, part of his research collection.

By the way, if you have, do not have that book and you have not read that book, I highly, highly recommend it, and I also highly recommend researching V. Vale, who is a g- incredible underground pop culture enthusiast who, who writes about these things in, in such a great way.

But it was V. Vale's book that is actually shaped and sized very similarly to Shock Value.

And, and I say that only because it's an unusual style of book, the way that-

It's like I never really realized the stiletto thing until I looked at the poster, and I was like, "God, he did that more than once." So yeah, there is a through line.

There is a through line with his work.
