V-Day

I think that's always an interesting piece to the storytelling of it.

So I started working in theater, moved to New York, and met Eve Ensler, now V, um, who wrote The Vagina Monologues, and was a very young person at the founding of V-Day.

And, um, that really taught me the elements of storytelling and the elements of, um, combining art and activism.

And I oversaw all the benefit productions of The Vagina Monologues on college campuses for many years, and it just felt like this incredibly obvious and natural segue to start doing work in middle school and high school from there.

And that resulted in V-Day giving us the seed money to start SafeBay 10 years ago.
