Utopia for Realists

anyways I have a plug that's more of a tease but I am reading a book currently by Rutger Bregman I already told you guys about Humankind which I had read and I recommended and now I'm reading Utopia for Realists which I think he wrote afterwards maybe before I'm not sure he has a whole section that he goes into in the start where I'm like wait a minute but this is very different from what you said in Humankind so I think maybe Humankind was written after But, um, he could have

changed his way, his mind.

No.

it's, it's about his conception of reality though, right? Like Rutger Breckman, like in humankind.

I believe there's sections where he talks about, you know, as it turns out, hunter-gatherers don't live such bad lives and aren't really that bad people.

And then in Utopia for Realists, he starts with, basically, we've created what people in almost every point in history would consider a utopia in terms of how rich, how wealthy, how peaceful, how little we fight.

And all the life before now, like most of the past is... filled with existences that were whatever that hobbes quote is about

Rutger Bregman is Dutch.

He wrote a fantastic book a few years back called Utopia for Realists.

And one of the issues there he spoke about was universal basic income as a concept.

And it is interesting in the Financial Times over the last couple of days, I forget which journalist or one of the writers was talking about universal basic income in the context of AI.

Is that cool? My fifth story is not really my story.

I read it in a book by Rutger Bregman, his book Utopia for Realists.

And so he talks about two strikes that happened about the same time.
